The Start of Eric’s New Life!
My name Eric I’m from Seattle, WA, this is my story. I was introduced to The Secret in July of 2006 since that day my life completely transformed. I had just started a landscape company that summer and was working in a new development in Issaquah, WA for a lady by the name of Susie. I was putting in a patio in her backyard on one of the hottest days of summer, complaining out everything. 
I was constantly telling her about how bad it was living with dirty roommates and not having enough money for tools for my new landscape company, how i didn’t have enough money for rent, and how life was just so hard. I complained just long enough to get a nice slap against the side of my head. This kinda caught me a little off guard, but she said to me “Eric, i am not going to sit here and listen to you complain all day about what you do not have or how bad your life is. Why don’t you do something about it!” I was like OK sure, what do i do? She walked me inside and sat me down and handed my two things, she handed me a copy of The Secret and a copy of a book by Harv T. Eker, Secrets of the Millionaire Mind. That night i went home and watched the DVD for the first time and made a commitment to myself to follow what this was teaching me. I even carried a gratitude rock in my pocket for months, just a little reminder to myself on what my goal was. Nothing major happened for the first couple of weeks just like the DVD said but within 30 days of watching The Secret over and over again i started to notice a change
Ever since i learned The Secret, i have been able to transform my life and the lives of many others. I think i have bought like over 20 copies of The Secret and introduced the movie to people in the hundreds. One person that i was able to impact was my dear (young) Mom. She was pleased to see how my life was taking a turn for the better and was curious to see what The Secret was all about, so i showed her! I think when you show this movie to someone it really means a lot, i mean you gotta realize your about to change someones life (that is of course if they really want it). So anyway my Mom always wanted a daughter because i’m a only child, so she got one! My wonderful Mom adopted a little Asian baby from China, my new sister, Lily! When Lily came to America she had to get rushed to the hospital because she had a serious heart condition. My Mother knew about this heart condition before she agreed to adopt her, so basically my Mom saved a life and got the daughter she always wanted. Some people want fame, some people want money, some people want great health and wealth, my Mom just wanted a Baby girl. The Secret can give you anything you wish as long as thats what you truly want. It works all the time, you don’t need to know how, the way will be shown to you!

I’m so proud to be your Dad and see what a mature, successful, and interesting person you have become. As you approach your 24th birthday, I am constantly amazed by you. You certainly found a “secret”.

The secret really is not about us at all. It is about GOD! It is about who we allow to guide our life and it should not be ourselves. God put each one of us here for a reason only he knows and we are to trust him so that we should not only have joy in this life but in eternity. He is the only one who we should intrust our life to. True Happiness, Love, Peace and anything truly good and lasting – these are Gods gifts.
Eric, I am glad that I met you. In a very indirect way you have reminded me I need to let go and let God. I know there is a good possibility you will not like my response but, it is the truth. I encourage everyone to seek Gods will not there own.
To an extent attraction is true. We do have decisions to make about our life and our focus. I am a living example that determination and being positive can get you along way. I was the frist one in my family to graduate with not one but two college degrees. But, I am also a living example that we as humans will always fall short without Gods grace – it is just how we are made. We will never be strong enough alone. In regards to Michelle: Opinions opinions. I think religion is a touchy subject to be throwing around. The movie is awesome, period. I think you looked to hard into it and missed the whole point. Not to mention, it made you react in a crazy way. In the beginning it says, this movie is open to interpretations. If you think it’s evil, maybe you right. Who am I to say you are wrong? I think it’s a way to change the way we think and teaches us to have a more positive outlook on life. I’m not going to attact religion, because I do believe in a higher power, but people who try to throw religion in other peoples faces, because they are scared or narrow minded about other opinions of life, ideas, religion, etc… Those people are the wrong ones. Personally, I was born Catholic. I don’t believe that being Catholic is the right religion, but at the same time, I don’t believe it’s the wrong one either. I really don’t know if it’s the correct one. Is that lack of faith? No, not at all. It’s being open minded to other possabilities, opinions and ideas that are out there. To me, I think organized religion isn’t right, because of all the wars and death that has been caused by it, but that’s just my opinion. Either way, the movie was meant to inspire and lift peoples spirits, because not everybody believes in God and religion. And I’m ok with that fact, because I am open minded to other ideas and other ways of thinking. If more people were open minded, there would be less deaths caused by religion and beliefs. We hold ourselves back as humans when we think like that.

Dear Eric,
I hear you. Ever since I read the secret too I have been applying it in my life to see amazing results. Now when I have to give a gift I dont think of anything else except the book. I have come to one conclusion, we are a product of our thoughts and if the space between the 2 ears is not right then nothing can be right. Our reality and our world is a manifestation of our thoughts and we are what we think. So might as well visulize the best and have that manifest in our lives. Our future is freewill, and we can will it to be waht we want!

The “Secret” and God are NOT mutually exclusive. The Secret is just a tool, not a religion, and it’s not secret. I leaned these principles decades ago through the EST training, later called “The Forum” and now The Landmark Forum. And Warner Earhardt learned it from Dianetics or Scientology or some other group he worked for. It’s the power of positive thinking, and it makes perfect sense. Success does NOT come to those who sit around and feel sorry for themselves. If you build it, they will come.

Eric – Justin sent me the link to this blog and I really enjoyed the story behind your transformation that the Secret brought into your life. I as well have seen many blessings come into the life of not only myself but our family courtesy of The Secret. Life changing does not even begin to describe it. My husband and I have been able to teach our young children the benefits and the importance of positives thoughts and one’s ability to have what they want in life. In return we have also taught them to give thanks to God for our of our many blessings. Great blog! Thanks for starting it!

HI. I just learned the secret only a few days ago. Nothing in life ever worked out for me, and extremly bad things have happened to prevent me fromm having a fullfilling life. In only a few days, I actually noticed tiny little things starting to go in my favor. They may be only small timy things now, but I know soon they will be great big things. Out of the bad in my life, good will come out of it!
