“The Secret” helped me understand what I already knew (believed). I am receiving an abundance of lessons because I am still not where I want to be. I know, though, that my goals are ultimately being reached. More details and examples are on my site. I think my problem is that I keep putting my goals in the future instead of right now therefore I am waiting. I am changing that, everyday is better.

I have been debating with myself regarding the concepts of needs vs. wants and the law of attraction. Lana from Dreamfollowers.com said that need is a low vibration and not easily recognized by the universe. I realized and accepted a long time ago that my needs are always fulfulled. My frustrations have been in not having my wants fulfilled. I was thinking last night of some of my desires that have been fulfilled and that it wasn’t until they became needs that my wants were granted. For example, a minor want was high speed internet. As long as it was a want, I didn’t get it but as soon as it became a need, I got it and all it cost (not counting dollars) was about 2 weeks of consumer frustrations of promises unkept, incompetence, rudeness and falsehoods with several businesses.
Something major I received was my husband. It wasn’t until I gave up the whole idea of ever getting married that circumstances came into effect such as losing my job of 10 years and moving into an apt. with my daughter and my daughter with her son at age 20 becoming too dependent on me and other events that led to my husband and I getting married after knowing him since we were kids, for about 35 years by then, and being with him for a year. Another was my getting my car. I got exactly what I ordered with my car but it didn’t happen until it became a need. I got a job right after getting my car.
One of my longtime desires has been a nice clean home in nice clean safe place, somewhere in the mountains, a modest home on a lot of land. Well, last night I had a conversation with my cousin regarding “The Secret” and other topics including; I mentioned that there was a drive-by shooting the other day at the house behind the house caticorner across the street from us. My cousin told me that my neighborhood is home to many gangs’ members including Crips. When I was driving home from my cousin’s, I was contemplating this information when the thought came to me that moving just became a need…then I thought ding ding ding, now I’m going to receive. I’ll keep you posted. What are your thoughts about all this?

I could go on forever about The Secret and all the wonderful things it has brought into my life. But to sum it up. I was a Young mother of 2 ( Had my first child when I was 19) by two different men. Both relationships were abusive. The first one lasted 3 years. The second one lasted 6. Ninbe years total of being abused and broken. I had no soul, no life in my body. I was introduced to The Secret whil I was still wiht my youngest childs father. He was and still is a painkiller addict. As I began to read the book I began to feel a difference in myself. I felt lighter, as if I was bring repaired from within. I started attracting thing into my life. Small but wonderful things, lessons, and views. And I was greatful for all I was receiving. I wish I could ellaborate but I am a wordy person and it would take a long time. All I can say is it took a woman who was broken and made her love herself. This inturn affected my children. Their happiness is my happness and vice versa. I love our life now. I feel like we are untouchable, on fire. My sense of humor came back. (this is something that was alway important to me) I have such fous and drive now. I owe so much to this book and would love to talk with others who feel the same way.

I lost custody of my 3 children after my first divorce because of my crippling depression, which only made things worse. Then I met and fell in love with a man who turned out to be abusive, both verbally and physically. After 1 year of marriage he had an affair and left me. I was devastated and couldn’t see any reason to go on. Then I read The Secret.
I had no trouble with the asking, but becuase I was suck in thinking about what I didn’t have nothing changed. I fell further into debt, I lost most of my shifts at work and my credit card was all that kept me going. Then a month ago I bought The Power, and after I read that I read The Secret again. That’s when things turned around. I started saying thankyou for all the things I DID have, my wonderful family, my friends, my health, my home, my pets… I woke up feeling gratitude for the bed I slept in, for the good nights sleep I’d had and looked forward to every day with enthusiam. Two weeks later I won $1100 on the lottery, and I’ve been getting enough work trickling in to pay my rent and haven’t touched my credit card since. This has only given me a greater belief in the power of The Secret, and I’m so excited about my life and the joy that lays ahead.
